  • General Studies Paper II

General Studies Paper II of the Kerala PSC Prelims Examination is divided into three parts.

  1. Part I – General studies
  2. Part II – Language proficiency (Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada)
  3. Part III – English language proficiency
The General Studies Paper II is conducted for a total of 100 marks.

Kerala State PSC Mains Examination

Candidates who clear the Kerala PSC Prelims Examination with the necessary cutoff are qualified to take the Kerala PSC Mains Examination. This examination has three papers and a candidate has 120 minutes to solve each paper. The exam structure of the Kerala PSC Mains Examination is:

  • General Studies Paper I

Candidates are tested on topics related to world history, Indian history and culture and heritage of Kerala. This paper is conducted for a total of 100 marks.

  • General Studies Paper II

General Studies Paper II examination tests topics like Indian Constitution, current affairs, polity, public administration and science and technology. This paper is conducted for a total of 100 marks.

  • General Studies Paper III

General Studies Paper III tests topics like geography, economics, planning and current issues. This paper is conducted for a total of 100 marks.
