TNPSC Group 1 Exam Syllabus – Download PDF

Dear TNPSC Aspirants,

TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public service commission) has released the brand-new syllabus for the TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment 2020 on the official website of TNPSC.

TNPSC released the short notification for the TNPSC Group 1 2020 during the first week of January 2020 and is expected to release the detailed notification and to start the online registration from 20th January 2020.

Before releasing the Detailed Notification of the TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment 2020, TNPSC today released the updated syllabus which is very similar to that of the TNPSC Group 2 & 2A.

TNPSC Aspirants are hereby advised to download the new Syllabus PDF and to prepare for the upcoming TNPSC Group 1 2020 Exam with the new syllabus.

The Unit 8 (History, Culture, Heritage and Socio-Political Movements in Tamil Nadu) & Unit 9 (Development Administration in Tamil Nadu) were included in the TNPSC Group 1 2020 Syllabus and previously TNPSC Group 1 Syllabus had only 8 units and the present TNPSC Group 1 2020 Syllabus have 10 UNITS along with the above-said topics.

(iv) Economics – Current socio – economic issues.

(v) Science – Latest inventions in Science and Technology.

UNIT- III: Geography Of India Topics For TNPSC Group 1

(i) Location – Physical features – Monsoon, rainfall, weather and climate – Water resources – Rivers in India – Soil, minerals and natural resources – Forest and wildlife – Agricultural pattern.

(iii) Social geography – Population density and distribution – Racial, linguistic groups and major tribes.
