- Ministry of Rural Development Additional Secretary Shri Charanjit Singh and Director of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) Smt. Supriya Devasthali inaugurated One District One Product Wall at SARAS Aajeevika Store.
- The wall stands as a symbol of the harmonious partnership between Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Rural Development.
- SARAS Aajeevika is an initiative by Deendayal Antyodaya (DAY-NRLM), Ministry of Rural Development.
- It is a strong supporter of women’s empowerment, with a special focus on uplifting women artisans and Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
- By creating a special marketplace for their well-crafted products, it boosts the skills and talents of these women, helping them become independent entrepreneurs.

Fifth Regional Symposium on Child Protection, Child Safety, and Child Welfare
- The fifth one-day Regional Symposium on Child Protection, Child Safety, and Child Welfare at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati was organised by Ministry of Women and Child Development.
- Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura and Sikkim participated in the symposium.
- Around 1200 representatives from Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs), Members of the Village Child Protection Committee (VCPC), and Anganwadi Workers participated in the symposium.
- The program focused on the Amendments in the Juvenile Justice Act, Rules and Adoption Regulations.
- Its impact on adoption processes was highlighted in the experience shared by Prospective Adoptive Parents who received a quick resolution post the Amendment in September 2022.

11 industrial corridors are being developed by Government of India in a phased manner
- Government of India is developing eleven Industrial Corridor Projects as part of the National Industrial Corridor Programme across the country in a phased manner.

- Bengaluru Mumbai Industrial Corridor (BMIC)
- Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC)
- Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC)
- Delhi Nagpur Industrial Corridor (DNIC)
- East Coast Industrial Corridor (ECIC) with Vizag Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC)
- Extension of CBIC to Kochi via Coimbatore
- Hyderabad Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (HBIC)
- Hyderabad Nagpur Industrial Corridor (HNIC)
- Hyderabad Warangal Industrial Corridor (HWIC)
- Odisha Economic Corridor (OEC)
- Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has sanctioned and released funds amounting to Rs. 9,899.89 crores for the Industrial Corridor Project, which has been utilized to the extent of Rs. 9,816.98 crores.
National Bioenergy Programme
- The Ministry of New and Renewable Resources launched National Bioenergy Programme (NBP) for the period from 2021-22 to 2025-26.
- Under NBP Ministry of New and Renewable Resources has so far commissioned six compressed natural gas (BioCNG) plants and 11,143 small biogas plants.
- Out of the six BioCNG plants commissioned, three are in Maharashtra, and one in Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh respectively.
- A large portion of the small plants are located in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Punjab.

National Media Campaign of Department of Land Resources (DoLR)
- National Media Campaign of the Department of Land Resources (DoLR) was launched by Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh in New Delhi.
- This campaign has been launched to make common people aware of the new initiatives in Land Governance and Watershed Development Component (WDC) of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana (PMKSY).
- In the first stage of campaign launch, National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS), WDC-PMKSY and Cactus Project have been included.
- Digital India Land Records Modernization Program (DILRMP) was launched in 2016 for providing 100 percent financial assistance to State Governments for computerization of Sub Registrar Offices (SROs) in the States.

Import of four critical minerals
- India’s import on four critical minerals – lithium (apart from lithium ion), cobalt, nickel and copper – was around ₹34,800 crores in FY23, and reliance across these minerals is anywhere between 93 per cent and 100 per cent.
- Highest import was in copper ore and concentrate category which was to the tune of ₹27,400 crore-odd; and nearly 11,78,920 tonnes of the mineral were shipped into the country last fiscal.

- The first India-Angloa Inaugural Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) was held in Luanda, Angola.
- Both the sides carried out a comprehensive review of the existing bilateral relations.
- They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
- India is the third largest trading partner of Angola sharing about 10 percent of Angola’s external trade.
- The bilateral trade between India and Angola has grown from 2.14 billion dollars in 2020-21 to 4.22 billion dollars during 2022-23.

Cycle Rally for Investor Awareness in Tamil Nadu
- Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) CEO Ms. Anita Shah Akella, flagged off a cycle rally via video conference, with more than 50 girl students from Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School in Kanchipuram participating in the cycle rally on the theme “From Unawareness to Financial Independence.” on occasion of 77th Independence Day.

IFFCO Nano Urea Plant at Gandhidham, Kutch
- Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for IFFCO Nano Urea Plant at Gandhidham in Kutch, Gujarat.
- The plant will provide multi-dimensional benefits to the agricultural economy and also plays a vital role to reduce imports of fertilizers and make India self-reliant in the field of fertilizers.

India’s first Agricultural Data Exchange and Agriculture Data Management Framework
- India’s first Agricultural Data Exchange (ADeX) and Agriculture Data Management Framework (ADMF) was launched by Telangana IT and Industries Minister K Taraka Ramarao in Hyderabad.
- The ADeX has been developed as a digital public infrastructure (DPI) for the agriculture sector and is a collaboration between the State Government, the World Economic Forum, and the Indian Institute of Science.
- Both of them provide the right platform to ensure fair and efficient usage of agricultural data by the industry and startups and provide a big boost to the data economy specifically in the agriculture sector.

Northeast's first-ever defence tech expo
- Assam’s Guwahati will host North-east defence technology exhibition in October 2023 at Maniram Dewan Trade Center, Guwahati.
- It will be the first-ever defence technology exhibition showcasing cutting-edge weapons, vehicles and tech solutions ranging from assault rifles to military drones.
- The expo will witness the participation of over 200 indigenous manufacturers, startups and MSMEs.

National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)
- In August 2016 Government of India launched National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) to promote the Apprenticeship in the country by providing financial incentives, technology and advocacy support.
- Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship launched Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) in NAPS.
- An amount of Rs.15 crores was disbursed to one lakh apprentices by the Minister marking the launch of DBT in NAPS.
- Till 31st July 2023 total of 25 lakh youth have been engaged as apprentices since the inception of NAPS.
- The number of active establishments subsequently increase from 6,755 in 2018-19 to 40,655 in 2023-24.

Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana
- On 26 Sept 2020 Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan launched Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana.
- In the initial phase four thousand rupees will be given by the state government in 2 equal installments to the beneficiary farmers.
- But from 2023, Government decided to increase this amount to Rs. 6,000/- per year with two equal installment of Rs. 3,000/-.
- Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved disbursement of 6,000 rupees to the eligible farmers under the Chief Minister’s Kisan Kalyan Yojana for the financial year 2023-2024.
- The Cabinet also decided to give benefit of the seventh pay scale to Gram Panchayat Secretaries.
- An additional expenditure of 178.88 crore rupees on it will be met from minor mineral heads.
- The council of ministers further approved the construction of 53 CM Rise Schools and 19 Kanya Shiksha Parisar with a total cost of over 2,491 crore rupees.

Gross Direct tax collections rise 16 % in this financial year
- The gross direct tax collection has registered growth of around 16 per cent to 6 lakh 53 thousand crore rupees and Net direct tax collection stands at 5 lakh 84 thousand crore rupees, which is over 17 per cent higher than corresponding period last year.
- This collection is over 32 per cent of the total Budget estimates of Direct Taxes for 2023-24.
