Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) New Delhi invites applications for the Recruitment of Social Security Officer (SSO) / Manager Grade II / Superintendent Positions on the regular basis by Direct Recruitment in ESI Corporation.

Important Note to the candidates:
1. Recruitment Notification / Advertisement dated 16-01-2014 for the Recruitment of Social Security Officer (SSO) / Manager Gr-II/Superintendent in ESI Corporation stands canceled vide notice dated 03-08-2018. The list of applicants who had applied against the Advertisement dated 16.01.2014 is already uploaded on ESIC website along with cancellation Notice dated 03-08-2018.
2. All candidates who had applied against the Advertisement dated 16.01.2014 have to apply afresh.

Name of the Post: Social Security Officer (SSO) / Manager Grade II / Superintendent
Total Vacancies: 539 [UR-294, SC-82, ST-22, OBC-141]
Pay Scale: Revised pay as per 7th Central Pay Commission for the post is Level- 7 of Pay Matrix (Civilian employees) with Entry Pay Rs 44900/-, replaced against Pay Band Rs. 9300-34800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- of 6th Central Pay Commission.
In addition to Pay, they will also be eligible for DA, HRA and Transport Allowance and other allowances as per rules in force from time to time.
A degree of a recognized University (Preference will be given to the graduates in Commerce/Law/Management).
Working knowledge of computer including use of office suites and database
Experience (Desirable): Three years’ service in a Government Organization or Corporation or Government Undertaking or Local Body or Scheduled Bank etc.
Candidate age should be between 21 to 27 years as on the closing date 05.10.2018.
Upper age limit is relax-able for persons belonging to reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen and for ESIC Employees, Government Servants. Check Official Notification for Age Relaxation Terms & Conditions.
SC/ST/PWD/ Departmental Candidates, Female Candidates & Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 250/-*
* This fee of Rs. 250/- shall be refunded duly deducting Bank Charges as applicable, on appearing of the candidate in the Part-I Written Examination.
All other categories: Rs. 500/-
Scheme of Examination for the post of SSO is proposed as under:

Phase –I is qualifying in nature and marks will not be reckoned for final merit.
For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question.
The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase – I.
If the examination is held in more than one session, the scores across various sessions will be equated following standard practice to adjust for slight differences in the difficulty level of different test batteries used across sessions.

The marks obtained in Phase – II will be considered for final selection.
For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question.
The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-III in the ratio of 1:5 i.e. about 5 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase – II.
Computer Skill Test (CST) – 50 Marks (30 Minutes Duration) comprising of following three parts: –
| (i) | Preparation of 02 Power Points Slides | 10 Marks |
| (ii) | Typing matter on MS Word with formatting | 20 Marks |
| (iii) | Preparation of Table on MS Excel with use of formulae | 20 Marks |
English Language (Letter Writing & Essay)

Note:- The working knowledge of PWD Candidates who are unable to type shall be assessed by holding an Objective Type Computer Test of 50 Marks having 50 Questions with no negative marking.
Computer Skill Test and Descriptive paper will be qualifying in nature. Marks obtained will not be reckoned for merit ranking.
Qualifying Marks: Qualifying Marks in Phase-I (Preliminary Exam.), Phase – II (Main Exam.) and Phase –III Computer Skill Test/Objective Type Computer Test for PWDs & Descriptive Paper will be decided at the discretion of ESIC.
