TNTET stands for the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test and it is a test that must be taken by candidates who are aspiring to teach either at primary or upper-primary-school levels in Tamil Nadu. The TNTET Exam is held by the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), which awards the eligibility certificate for candidates who clear the TNTET Exam. Details about TNTET Exam

  • Visit the official website of TRB, i.e. www.trb.tn.nic.in. 
  • Select the online application link. 
  • Register for the TNTET Exam 2022 and fill out the application form with the correct details. 
  • Attach the scanned passport-size photo and signature in the specified format as mentioned in the official TNTET Exam 2022 notification. 
  • Pay the application fee online (₹ 500 for the general category candidates and ₹ 250 for OBC/SC/ST category candidates)
  • Save the confirmation email and payment success message for future references. 

The exam pattern for TNTET Exam 2022 is:

  • The TNTET Exam lasts for 3 hours.
  • The TNTET exam is held offline.
  • The TNTET exam is held in two languages – English and Tamil/Telugu/Urdu/Malayalam/Kannada.
  • Each TNTET paper has 150 questions and has a total of 150 marks for each paper.
  • Every correct answer is awarded one mark, while there is no negative marking for wrong answers in the TNTET Exam.

TNTET Exam Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the TNTET Exam 2022, candidates must check the eligibility criteria for appearing in the TNTET Exam 2022. The eligibility criteria to take the TNTET Exam 2022 are:
