Tier-I:

This is also a skill test in which the candidate has to transcribe dictation in English or Hindi on a computer at a speed of 80 words per minute for Stenographer Grade C and a speed of 40 words per minute for Stenographer Grade D.

The eligibility criteria for the SSC Stenographer examination is a 12th pass from an accredited board or equivalent.

The age limit for the examination is 18-30 years for General category candidates, and relaxation in the age limit is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government norms. The selection process is based on the performance in both Tier-I and Tier-II.

Central Police Organization (CPO) Examination

Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The examination is conducted in two phases:

Paper I:

This computer-based test consists of objective-type questions from subjects such as General Intelligence and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge and General Awareness, and English Comprehension.

Paper II:

This is a computer-based test that consists of English language and comprehension questions.
