Logical Reasoning:

Analogy, Syllogism, Classification, Alphabet Test, Coding-Decoding, Blood relations, Cause and Effect, Analytical Reasoning, Mathematical Operations, Direction sense test, Sitting Arrangements (Circular Arrangements), Codes (Sentence Coding), Critical Reasoning, Analogies (Meaning Based + Logical).

Data Sufficiency, Sequential Output Tracing, Visual Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Series Test, Input-Output, Decision Making, Statement and Assumptions, Statement and Arguments, Course of Action, Passage and Conclusion Test, Assertion and Reason

Data Analysis & Interpretation:

Data Sufficiency, Permutations, Combinations and Probability, Data Table, Pie-Charts, Bar Graphs, Line Graphs, Mixed Graphs, Case Study.

English Language:

Finding Errors, Comprehension, Sentence completion, Spelling error check, Synonyms, and Antonyms, Choosing the correct word, Fill In the blanks, Cloze Test, Phrase Substitution, Rearrangement of sentences.

General Awareness/Marketing/Computer Knowledge:

Current Affairs (National and International), Banking Knowledge, Financial and Economic News, Sports News, 5-year plan, Books and authors, Union Budget, Government schemes and Policies, Awards and Honors, Inventions and discoveries, International and National Organizations (BRICS, SAARC, IMF, World Bank, ADB), Computer Knowledge, Marketing management.

(b) Descriptive Test:

The Descriptive Test of 1-hour (for 50 marks) will be Test of English Language (Comprehension, Short précis, Letter writing & Essay)”. Students have to write a descriptive test and an objective test on that same day.

The candidates are required to qualify the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the bank.

Topics: Letter Writing, Paragraph Writing, Essay Writing, Precise Writing, Reading Comprehension will be evaluated in the descriptive writing test.

Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either

  • a Citizen of India or
  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan or
  • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from other countries.


Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of Interview and at any subsequent stage of the recruitment process as required by IBPS/ Participating Organization.

Educational Qualifications

Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Age Limit

Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02 August 1986 and not later than 01 August 1994 (both dates inclusive).

Computer Literacy

Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

Language Test

Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.


(1) Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicate the same in online application.

(2) All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a recognized University / Institution.
