SSC JE Recruitment Notification 2020

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications from the eligible Indian Candidates for the Recruitment of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Vacancies 2019.

The posts are Group B (Non-Gazetted), in Level- 6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.

It has been quoted in the notification as “Reservation for Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC)/ Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Persons with Disability (PwD) etc would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Ministries/ Departments/ Offices, as per extant Government Orders”.

Vacancies & Reservation:

Reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC)/ Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Persons with Disability (PwD) etc would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations, as per extant Government Orders.

Junior Engineer being a Group B Post, there is NO RESERVATION for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category. However, benefit of age-relaxation will be admissible to ESM candidates, as per extant Govt. Orders.

Age Limit – SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment

Candidate’s Age should not be more than 30 / 32 Years as on 1st of Jan 2019.

Except for Central Water Commission & Central Public Works Department (CPWD) vacancies, all other posts will have 30 Years as Upper Age Limit.

Essential Qualifications & Experience – SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment

Central Water Commission – Junior Engineer (Civil): Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

Central Water Commission – Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

Central Public Works Department (CPWD) – Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

Central Public Works Department (CPWD) – Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

Military Engineer Services (MES) – Junior Engineer (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University Or (a) Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and (b) Two years experience in Planning, Execution, and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.

Military Engineer Services (MES) – Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical): Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University; (a) Three years diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and (b) Two years experience in Planning, Execution, and Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.

Farakka Barrage Project – Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.

Farakka Barrage Project – Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.

Farakka Barrage Project – Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.

Border Road Organization (BRO) – Junior Engineer (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute or (a) Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute/ Board; and (b) Two years working experience in Planning/ Execution/ Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.

Border Road Organization (BRO) – Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical): Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute; or (a) Three years Diploma in Electrical/ Automobile/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute/ Board; and (b) Two years experience in Planning/ Execution/ Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.

Fee Payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only)

NO FEE for Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with disabilities (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen.

Selection Procedure – SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment

The Selection will consist of two papers i.e. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) and Paper-II (Descriptive Type).
