SSC Stenographer 2023 Notification
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the Skill Test Schedule for the SSC Stenographer Exam 2022 on its official website at ssc.nic.in. The Skill Test will be held on the 24th and 25th of April 2023 for the KKR Region, which is Bangalore. The SSC Stenographer Notification for 2023 will be released on 2nd August 2023 for the recruitment of candidates for the posts of Stenographer Grades C & D. SSC Stenographer Exam Date 2023
The SSC Stenographer exam dates for 2023 have been officially released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) along with the SSC Calendar 2023 on 30th December 2022. SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2023
SSC conducts the SSC Stenographer Exam in two stages
- Preliminary
- Skill Test
The SSC conducts the Stenographer exam in two stages, namely the Preliminary exam followed by the skill test for qualified candidates. The Preliminary exam consists of three sections, which are Reasoning, English Comprehension, and General Awareness. The questions in the exam are categorized as per the table provided below.

- For each incorrect answer in the SSC Stenographer exam, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks as a negative marking.
- If the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, the marks obtained by candidates in the Computer Based Examinations will be normalized.
- The normalized scores will be used to determine the final merit list.
SSC Stenographer 2023: Skill Test
The candidates who achieve the qualifying marks in the SSC Stenographer Tier 1 Written Examination, as prescribed by the Commission will be called for the Skill Test. The Commission may also specify qualifying marks for each part of the Written Examination.
The Skill Test is mandatory and candidates will have to appear for the stenography test. They will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in either English or Hindi, with a speed of 100 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade D. The transcription must be done on a computer, and the evaluation will be conducted electronically. The transcription time is as follows.
Candidates who choose to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will need to learn English Stenography, and vice versa, after their appointment. Failure to do so may result in their probation not being cleared by the appointing departments.
Once appointed, candidates will have to work as English/Hindi stenographers based on the functional requirement of the User Office, regardless of the medium of the Skill Test they took during the examination.

SSC Exam Dates 2023
Staff Selection Commission has also released the exam dates for MTS, CGL, CHSL, and CPO through the official site of SSC at SSC.nic.in on 29th March 2023. As per the exam calendar The Multi-Tasking (NT-Staff) Examination, 2022 will be conducted from May 2 to May 19 and again from June 13 to June 20, 2023. The Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2022 (Tier-II) will be conducted on May 2, 2023.
