TNPSC Group 1 notification 2022 is released today by TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) in the official website of TNPSC.
TNPSC Group 1 notification was slated to be released by TNPSC in this month as per the Annual Calendar 2022 released by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).

Educational Qualification - TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment
Applicants should possess the following or its equivalent qualification:-
The educational qualification will be considered as on 21st July, 2022.
Applicants should possess a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or any other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
Provided that, other things being equal, preference will be given to the applicants, who possess the qualification mentioned against each of the following posts:-

Exemption - TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment
(i) Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars) – Full Exemption
(ii) Scheduled Tribes – Full Exemption
(iii) Most Backward Classes / Denotified Communities – Three Free Chances
(iv) Backward Classes (other than Muslim) / Backward Classes (Muslim) – Three Free Chances
(v) Ex-Servicemen – Two Free Chances
(vi) Persons with Benchmark Disability (the Disability shall be not less than 40%) – Full Exemption
(vii) Destitute Widow (Destitute Widow Certificate should have been obtained from RDO / Sub- Collector / Assistant Collector) – Full Exemption
Selection Procedure - TNPSC Group I Recruitment
The selection will be made in three successive stages, viz
(i) Preliminary Examination for selection of applicants for admission to the Main Written Examination
(ii) Main Written Examination and
(iii) an Oral Test in the form of an Interview.
The Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the applicants who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Written Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.
The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Written Examination will be 20 times the number of candidates to be recruited having regard to the rule of reservation of appointments.
However, in each reservation group, all the candidates who secure the same marks as that of cut off marks of their reservation
groups shall also be admitted to the Main Written Examination, though the number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Written Examination may exceed 1:20 ratio.
No supplemental list will be published in the place of rejected candidates (or) candidates who have failed to send documents for verification. The final selection will be made based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in the Main Written Examination Paper-II, Paper-III, Paper-IV and Oral Test taken together, subject to Rule of Reservation of Appointments.
