TNPSC Combined Library Exam 2023: Educational Qualifications

College Librarian in Government Law Colleges

Master’s Degree in Library Science or Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree, with not less than fifty-five percent of marks

One-year Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or Experience for a period of not less than one year as a Librarian or Assistant Librarian or Library Assistant or Cataloguer in a Library, wherein Library automation software is used

A consistently good academic record

Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC

Librarian & Information Officer in Anna Centenary Library in Public Department

A Master’s Degree from a University recognized by the UGC (10+2+3+2 pattern)

A Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a University recognized by the UGC

Must have experience as Librarian for a period of not less than five years in Academic or Public or Special or Corporate Libraries

District Library Officer

Any Master’s Degree from a University recognized by the UGC in the pattern of 10+2 or its equivalent 10+3+2;

A Master’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a University recognized by the UGC

Must have experience for a period of not less than three years in any of the libraries in a supervisory cadre

Library Assistant in the Secretariat Library

A Degree

A Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science

Librarian and Information Assistant (Grade II)

A Bachelor’s Degree from a University recognized by the UGC

A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a University recognized by the UGC
