A Clerk mostly assigned to a Branch or Regional / Zonal / Head Office of the Bank will be a ‘Single Window Operator’ who performs daily office and accounts related tasks in a bank.

IBPS Clerk Salary & Perks
An IBPS Clerk will receive an exalted salary along with Special allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), CAA, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc.
According to the Bank and Location of the Branch, the Pay Scale of the IBPS Clerk will naturally oscillate between Rs 14,000 – Rs 22,000.
Basic Pay of the IBPS Clerk will be Rs. 10,400 – 14,300/-
Dearness Allowance: DA is revised quarterly and is based on the Consumer Price Index as declared by the banks i.e. DA can go up with higher CPI and vice versa.
House Rent Allowance: House Rent Allowance will be allotted to you according to the place of posting. And it can be 6.00% to 7.50% of the salary depending upon metros, big cities, and other locations.
Medical Allowance: This allowance is paid annually and for an IBPS clerk, it is fixed at Rs 2000.
An IBPS Clerk also gets transport allowance which is approximate of Rs. 400/-.
