Citizenship Amendment Act Comes into Effect in India from 12-03-2024 Onwards
- The government on Monday evening issued a notification for the Citizenship Amendment Act, or CAA, which comes into effect from 12-03-2024
- The rules, in line with the 2019 amendment to The Citizenship Act, 1955, aim to provide citizenship to migrants belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi, or Christian communities who entered India before December 31, 2014, from Pakistan, Afghanistan, or Bangladesh.
- The amendment reduced the residence requirement for naturalisation from eleven years to five.
இந்தியாவில் குடியுரிமை திருத்தச் சட்டம் 12-03-2024 முதல் அமலுக்கு வந்தது
- 12-03-2024 முதல் நடைமுறைக்கு வரும் குடியுரிமை திருத்தச் சட்டம் அல்லது CAAவுக்கான அறிவிப்பை அரசாங்கம் திங்கள்கிழமை மாலை வெளியிட்டது
- குடியுரிமைச் சட்டம், 1955 இல் 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு திருத்தத்திற்கு ஏற்ப, பாகிஸ்தான், ஆப்கானிஸ்தான் அல்லது பங்களாதேஷில் இருந்து 2014 டிசம்பர் 31 க்கு முன்னர் இந்தியாவுக்குள் நுழைந்த இந்து, சீக்கிய, பௌத்த, சமண, பார்சி அல்லது கிறிஸ்தவ சமூகங்களைச் சேர்ந்த புலம்பெயர்ந்தோருக்கு குடியுரிமை வழங்குவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
- இந்தத் திருத்தம் குடியுரிமை பெறுவதற்கான குடியிருப்புத் தேவையை பதினொரு ஆண்டுகளில் இருந்து ஐந்தாகக் குறைத்தது.
Shri Kishor Makwana assumes charge of Chairman National Commission for Scheduled Castes
- Shri Kishor Makwana assumed the charge of Chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) in New Delhi
- Shri Luv Kush Kumar also assumed the charge of Member of National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) in New Delhi today.
- As per the mandate given to the National Commission for Scheduled Castes under Article 338 of the Constitution, it is the duty of the Commission to present to the President annually & at other times as the Commission may deem fit, reports upon the working of the Constitutional Safeguards of the Scheduled Castes.
தேசிய பட்டியலின ஆணையத்தின் தலைவராக திரு கிஷோர் மக்வானா பொறுப்பேற்றார்
- திரு கிஷோர் மக்வானா, புதுதில்லியில் தேசிய பட்டியலின ஆணையத்தின் (NCSC) தலைவராக பொறுப்பேற்றுக் கொண்டார்.
- திரு லவ் குஷ் குமார், தேசிய பட்டியலின ஆணையத்தின் உறுப்பினராக பொறுப்பேற்றுக் கொண்டார்.
- அரசியலமைப்பின் 338 வது சரத்தின் கீழ் பட்டியல் சாதியினருக்கான தேசிய ஆணையத்திற்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட ஆணையின்படி, பட்டியல் சாதியினரின் அரசியலமைப்பு பாதுகாப்புகள் செயல்படுவது குறித்த அறிக்கைகளை ஆண்டுதோறும் மற்றும் மற்ற நேரங்களில் ஆணையம் பொருத்தமானதாகக் கருதும் நேரங்களில் குடியரசுத் தலைவரிடம் சமர்ப்பிப்பது ஆணையத்தின் கடமையாகும்.
48% of Ayushman Health Scheme beneficiaries are women
- The Union Government launched the Ayushman Health Scheme to provide health insurance cover to the common man. The scheme has been named Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
- Under this scheme, poor people can get medical treatment up to Rs. 5 lakhs.
- About 6.5 crore beneficiaries have been benefited under the scheme, of which 3.2 crore are women.
ஆயுஷ்மான் சுகாதாரத் திட்டம் மூலம் பயன்பெற்றவர்களில் 48% பேர் பெண்கள் என தகவல்
- எளிய மக்கள் சுகாதாரக் காப்பீட்டைப் பெறும் வகையில் மத்திய அரசு ஆயுஷ்மான் சுகாதாரத் திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது. இந்தத் திட்டத்துக்கு ஆயுஷ்மான் பாரத்-பிரதமரின் ஜன் ஆரோக்யா திட்டம் (AB-PMJAY) என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் மூலம் ஏழைமக்கள் ரூ.5 லட்சம் வரையில் மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை செய்து கொள்ள முடியும்.
- 5 கோடி பேர் இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பயன் அடைந்துள்ளனர்.இதில் 3.2 கோடி பேர் பெண்கள்.
'e-Smart' clinic launched to spread health care in villages
- Lord’s Mark Industries, a medical testing equipment manufacturer, has launched the e-Smart Clinic project in collaboration with the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan of the Government of India to spread health care in villages.
- The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at AIIMS Rajkot

- மருத்துவ பரிசோதனை உபகரணங்கள் தயாரிப்பு நிறுவனமான லார்ட்ஸ் மார்க் இண்டஸ்ட்ரீஸ், மத்திய அரசின் உன்னத் பாரத் அபியான் திட்டத்துடன் இணைந்து கிராமங்களில் மருத்துவ சேவையை பரவலாக்கும் வகையில் இ ஸ்மார்ட் கிளினிக் திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
- இந்தத் திட்டத்தை ராஜ்கோட் எய்ம்ஸ் மருத்துவமனையில் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி சில தினங்களுக்கு முன்பு தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

Jyothi Nirmala Swamy appointed as State Election Commissioner
- Tamil Nadu State Election Commissioner V. Palanikumar retired on Friday
- “P. Jyothi Nirmala Swamy shall hold office as State Election Commissioner for a period of five years from the date of assumption of office or till she attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier,”
- Article 243 K & Article 243 ZA deals with the State Election Commission in every state as a constitutional body with powers of ‘superintendence, direction and control of the preparation of electoral rolls for, and the conduct of, all elections to the Panchayats and Municipalities in the State.
தமிழ்நாடு மாநில தேர்தல் ஆணையராக ஜோதி நிர்மலாசாமி நியமனம்
- தமிழ்நாடு மாநில தேர்தல் ஆணையர் வெ.பழனிகுமார் கடந்த 8ம் தேதி (வெள்ளி) பணி ஓய்வு பெற்றார்
- பா.ஜோதி நிர்மலாசாமி மாநில தேர்தல் ஆணையாளராக அவர் பதவியேற்ற நாளில் இருந்து 5 ஆண்டுகள் அல்லது 65 வயது வரை, இதில் எது முந்தையதோ அதுவரை பதவியில் நீடிப்பார்”
- சரத்து 243 K & சரத்து 243 ZA ஒவ்வொரு மாநிலத்திலும் உள்ள மாநில தேர்தல் ஆணையத்தை ஒரு அரசியலமைப்பு அமைப்பாக கையாள்கிறது, இது ‘மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள பஞ்சாயத்து மற்றும் நகராட்சிகளுக்கான அனைத்து தேர்தல்களுக்கும் வாக்காளர் பட்டியல்களைத் தயாரிப்பதற்கான மேற்பார்வை, வழிகாட்டுதல் மற்றும் கட்டுப்பாடு ஆகியவற்றைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
Shri AS Rajeev appointed as Vigilance Commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission
- The Honourable President of India vide warrant dated 9th February 2024 and by virtue of the power vested under Section 4 (1) of the Central Vigilance Commission Act, 2003 has appointed Shri AS Rajeev as Vigilance Commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission.
- Shri A S Rajeev is a career banker with over 38 years of experience in four banks, namely, Syndicate Bank, Indian Bank, Vijaya Bank and Bank of Maharashtra.

- மாண்புமிகு இந்தியக் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் 9 பிப்ரவரி 2024 தேதியிட்ட உத்தரவு மூலம் மற்றும் மத்திய ஊழல் தடுப்பு கண்காணிப்பு சட்டம், 2003 இன் பிரிவு 4 (1) இன் கீழ் வழங்கப்பட்ட அதிகாரத்தின் காரணமாக, மத்திய ஊழல் கண்காணிப்பு ஆணையத்தில் ஊழல் கண்காணிப்பு ஆணையராக ஸ்ரீ ஏ.எஸ்.ராஜீவை நியமித்துள்ளார்.
- சிண்டிகேட் வங்கி, இந்தியன் வங்கி, விஜயா வங்கி மற்றும் பாங்க் ஆப் மகாராஷ்டிரா ஆகிய நான்கு வங்கிகளில் 38 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலான அனுபவம் கொண்ட திரு ஏ எஸ் ராஜீவ் ஒரு தொழில்முறை வங்கியாளர் ஆவார்.

Kannayan Dakshinamurthy wins Sahitya Akademi award for best Tamil translation
- The Sahitya Akademi Translation Award for the year 2023 was announced on 12-03-2024.
- Awards have been announced for books translated from different languages in 24 languages.
- He won the Sahitya Akademi Award for his translation of Mamang Dai’s novel into Tamil as ‘Karunkundram’.
சிறந்த தமிழ் பொழிபெயர்ப்பு: கண்ணையன் தட்சிணாமூர்த்திக்கு சாகித்ய அகாடமி விருது அறிவிப்பு
- 2023ம் ஆண்டிற்கான சாகித்ய அகாடமியின் மொழிபெயர்ப்புக்கான விருது 12-03-2024 அன்று அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
- இதில் மொத்தம் 24 மொழிகளில், வெவ்வேறு மொழிகளில் இருந்து மொழிபெயர்க்கப்பட்ட நூல்களுக்கு விருது அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளது.
- மமாங் தய் என்பவர் எழுதிய நாவலை தமிழில் ‘‘கருங்குன்றம்” என்ற பெயரில் மொழி பெயர்த்ததற்காக சாகித்ய அகாடமி விருது கிடைத்துள்ளது.

DRDO successfully conducts Mission Divyastra
- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted first successful flight test of indigenously developed Agni-5 missile with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-Entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology.
- The flight test named Mission Divyastra was carried out from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha.

- பாதுகாப்பு ஆராய்ச்சி மற்றும் மேம்பாட்டு அமைப்பு (DRDO) உள்நாட்டிலேயே தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட அக்னி-5 ஏவுகணையின் முதல் வெற்றிகரமான சோதனையை மல்டிபிள் இன்டிபென்டன்லி டார்கெடபிள் ரீ-என்ட்ரி வாகனம் (MIRV) தொழில்நுட்பத்துடன் இணைந்து நடத்தியது.
