Medical Standards for RRB Group D Exam 2023
Starting from August 2023, the RRB Group D exam for the first phase will be launched. An RRB Group D examination could be started in August 2023, based on the latest update. A revision of the examination schedule for Group D post will be published by Railway Recruitment. The RRB Group D schedule will publish region wise information at rrbcdg.gov.in this time. RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2023
- Exams for Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) positions will only be conducted online via Computer Based Test (CBT). There will be 100 questions in the Single Stage CBT, 25 from General Science, 25 from Mathematics, 30 from General Intelligence and Reasoning, and 20 from General Awareness and Current Affairs.
- The duration of the Single Stage CBT will be 90 minutes, but for PwBD candidates, it will be extended to 120 minutes. There are four sections, each carrying 100 marks.
A negative marking system will deduct 1/3 marks for every wrong answer.
Medical Standards for RRB Group D Exam 2023
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) organizes the RRB Group D exam to hire candidates for positions such as helper, hospital attendant, pointsman, assistant pointsman, porter, track maintainer, and gateman. Candidates must pass two stages of exams in order to qualify for the different posts that are –
- CBT (Computer Based Examination)
- PET (Physical Efficiency Test)
After passing both the stages CBT and PET, selected candidates will be called for a medical test. The Railway Group D Medical test is an important stage because candidates must make sure that they meet the RRB Group D medical standard for the position they are applying for.

Once candidates successfully complete both the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), they will proceed to document verification and undergo a medical examination administered by the railway administration. This examination aims to ensure that candidates are in good health to fulfill their responsibilities. The required medical standards, as specified by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), are outlined in the following table:
