A person shall be deemed to possess adequate knowledge of the Tamil Language, if he has passed the SSLC examination or its equivalent examination/HSC/Degree etc., with Tamil as one of the languages or Studied the High School Course in Tamil Medium and passed the SSLC Examination or its equivalent examination in Tamil Medium or passed the Second Class Language Test (Full Test) in Tamil conducted by the Commission.

Note:

The educational qualification prescribed for the above posts should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the following order of studies:

10th + HSC or its equivalent + Bachelor’s Degree + Post Graduate Degree as required under Section 25 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016.

The results of the examination should have been declared on or before the date of notification, i.e. 12 Janaury 2023. (Section 20(4)(iv) of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016).
Candidates claiming equivalence of qualification to the prescribed qualification should upload and submit evidence for equivalence of qualification, in the form of a government order issued on or before the date of TNPSC AO, ADA & HO notification 2023 and submit it along with the online application, failing which, their application will be summarily rejected after due process.
The government orders regarding the equivalence of qualification issued after the date of this notification will not be accepted.

Applicants are advised, in their own interest, to keep an account of the number of times fee concession has been availed, irrespective of the information displayed in the <Application History> of the applicant dashboard in the TNPSC official website.
An application (irrespective of the post applied for) claiming fee concession will operate to exclude one chance from the number of free chances allowed.

TNPSC AO, ADA & HO Exam 2023: OMR/Computer-Based Test Exam Pattern

Paper-I of the TNPSC AO, ADA & HO Exam 2023 is for all three posts consisting of 200 questions. It is conducted for a total of 3 hours and 300 marks.

Paper-II of the TNPSC AO, ADA & HO Exam 2023 consists of two parts — Part A and Part B.

Part A of the Paper-II of the TNPSC AO, ADA & HO Exam 2023 consists of the Tamil Eligibility Test (SSLC Standard). It consists of 100 questions of 150 marks and is conducted for 90 minutes.

Part B of the Paper-II of the TNPSC AO, ADA & HO Exam 2023 consists of General Studies (Degree Standard) and Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (SSLC Standard). It is conducted for a total of 100 questions and 150 marks and a time duration of 90 minutes.

After clearing the OMR/computer-Based Test, candidates will be called for an oral test/interview that is conducted for 60 marks.

The answer sheets of Paper-I and Part-B of Paper-II of the candidates will not be evaluated, if the candidate does not secure minimum qualifying marks in Part-A of Paper-II in the TNPSC AO, ADA & HO Exam 2023.
Only marks secured in Paper-I and Part-B of Paper-II of the TNPSC AO, ADA & HO Exam 2023 will be considered for the final ranking.
The question papers for Paper-I, i.e. subject papers will be set in English and Part-B of Paper-II, will be set both in Tamil and English.
The candidate should appear for all the papers in the written examination for his/her answers to be evaluated and in case the candidate absents himself/herself for any of the papers, the papers attended will not be evaluated.
