Procedure For Applying For RRB Exams 2023
The candidates can get to know the procedure of RRB Recruitment 2023 Application Process,
- Visit the official website of RRB and click on ‘New Registration’ option.
- Choose the desired RRB category you want to apply for and click on ‘apply now’ option.
- In preliminary registration of application form, fill education qualification and several other details that are mentioned in the form.
- Move to the next stage, where registration number will be generated and it will ask to submit email id and mobile number.
- Now RRB online registration link will be sent to the email id provided. An OTP will be given to the registered mobile number upon clicking that link for verification. As a result, a registration number will be provided.
- After getting the registration number go to ‘Candidate Login’ and all of the posts for which the candidate is eligible will be displayed.
- Candidates should fill in all the qualification details and then move to the payment section for paying the application fees through several different methods.
- Upload the scanned copy of passport size photograph, signature and SC/ST certificate (if required).
- At last, confirm the declaration and download the PDF copy of the application form and also keep a printed copy of it.
RRB Eligibility Criteria 2023
Age limit

- In RRB NTPC age limit for undergraduate candidates is 18-30 years and for graduate candidates it is 18-33 years.
- In RRB ALP age limit is between 18-28 years.
- In RRB JE candidates between the age group of 18-33 years can give the exam.
- In RRB Group D age limit is between 18-30 years.
Educational qualification
- Undergraduate candidates in RRB NTPC must have finished the 12th standard, whereas graduate candidates must have a bachelor’s degree.
- In RRB ALP educational qualification required is –
Assistant Loco Pilot – 10th, Completed Act Apprentices, SSLC with ITI or Diploma/Degree.
Technicians – 10th, SSLC with ITI, 12th with Physics and Mathematics, Course Completed Act Apprentices or Diploma in Engineering.
- In RRB JE candidates must have a degree or diploma.
- In RRB Group D candidates must have completed their class 10th, ITI, or diploma.
Common criteria for all exams
- The citizens of India, Nepal and Bhutan as well as Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently can apply for the RRB NTPC exam. Also candidates of Indian origin from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam, with the intention of settling permanently are eligible for the exam.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years and OBC 3 years.
Cut-off
The cut-off is the minimum number of marks required to qualify for various RRB exams. The cut-off marks for various exams differ.
