How to Prepare for IBPS SO Interview 2023?

Have you wondered what is next after IBPS  SO Mains Exams? How to become an IBPS SO officer after you clear  IBPS SO Prelims and IBPS SO Mains Exam 2023?  Here is your answer! you automatically qualify for the IBPS SO Interview phase. IBPS SO Interviews are the most difficult and challenging phase, you know why?

Attending an IBPS SO Interview as it not only assesses your knowledge but you have to put in some effort to impress the IBPS SO interview Panel with your personality, leadership quality, and attitude too.  Hence, the candidates must prepare themselves mentally to give their best during the interview. We, Veranda Race have compiled a list of tips and tricks that candidates can follow to improve their chances of clearing the interview.

1. Carry your documents

One of the easiest blunders to make is to forget your documents at the time of your interview. Make sure that you have thoroughly double-checked all the documents that are needed and have packed them in a folder so that they can be neatly presented to the panel members. This will make the process seamless for you and the interviewer. The documents are a must and the candidates must be careful since they won’t be allowed to give your interview without them.

2. Revise the basics of your graduating course

Yes, it is also essential that you revise topics and subjects from your graduating course while preparing for the interview. The interviewer may be keen to test your knowledge in your area of study to check your diligence towards your course and if you did your studies properly. Most students appearing for these exams never had banking as a subject. The interviewers understand that better than anyone else which is why you can be questioned about your graduating course to test your sincerity.

3. Say ‘NO’ where it's needed

Candidates often get nervous when they are asked a question about which they know nothing. They often fall into the trap of trying to build an answer around it, making the situation worse for them. This can also be a test to assess the clarity and honesty of your knowledge. Candidates who hesitate to say no exhibit courage and directness which is what the interviewers are looking for.

4. Dress neatly and orderly

Walking into the interview room with sleepy eyes and jeans is never a good idea. Make sure that you freshen yourself up by doing all the basics including a bath. Comb your hair neatly. A clean shave is the safest bet but if you can groom your beard in an orderly way then make sure to do it. Formals or smart casuals are what you should be wearing to your interview. Make sure that the clothes are clean and well-pressed before wearing them. Do not wear sunglasses unless there’s a physical problem

5. Be Honest, Be you !

Do not try and pretend to be anything that you are not. The interviewers are looking for a potent candidate who is fit for the job and not a con artist. Be honest about your history, your family, your achievements and your skill set. Always remember that there are always going to be people more talented and skilled than you are so it is best to be yourself. Honesty, humility and humbleness are the qualities that are expected of a Specialists Officer. Do not be embarrassed by your humble beginnings or your less-privileged conditions, embrace them and express yourself with diligence.

6. Sleep well before the day of the interview

Stress and anxiety can only make things worse. You have to ensure that your preparation for the interview is spread across a few days at least. Doing everything on the last day will only make things worse for you. Just enjoy the fact that you are appearing for the interview. Study a little and spend some time with your friends and family. Then, have a good sleep so that you are fresh when you wake up all ready for the interview.

7. Be Updated

Current affairs are important. Make sure that you are also well-researched about the recent world problems and some of the biggest news in and outside of your country. The interviewers might test your social awareness to check if you understand the problems that are currently being faced by the people of our country. The candidates must be clear with their answers and not beat around the bush. Make sure that you stay updated by following news channels, social media and newspapers regularly.
