Candidates (Except Women/SC/ST candidates) are required to pay a fee of ₹ 200 either by using online payment by Internet banking facility of any bank or by using Credit/Debit Card/UPI payments or by remitting the money in any branch of the State Bank of India. The last date for the payment of the UPSC CAPF Exam 2024 Application Fee by online mode is 14 May 2024 (6.00 PM).
Applicant who opt for Pay by Cash mode should print their system generated Pay-in slip during Part II Registration and deposit the Exam fee at SBI Branch counter on the next working day only. Pay by Cash mode will be deactivated on 13 May 2024 (11.59 PM).
All female candidates and candidates belonging to the SC/ST are not required to pay application fee for the UPSC CAPF Exam 2024.
The UPSC CAPF Written Exam 2024 will be held on 4 August 2024. It comprises of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Paper I Exam will be held from 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM. Paper II Exam will be held from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.
UPSC CAPF Paper I Exam will be conducted for a total of 250 marks. This paper will contain Objective Type Questions of General Ability and Intelligence.
UPSC CAPF Paper II Exam will be conducted for a total for a total of 200 marks in General Studies, Essay and Comprehension. The candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/language skills will be in English.
There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each paper as fixed by UPSC. Paper I will be evaluated first and the evaluation of Paper II will be done only of those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.
There will be a penalty / negative marking for wrong answers marked by the candidate in the objective type question papers. Each wrongly answered question will carry a negative marking of one third of the marks assigned to that particular question.
Candidates who are declared qualified in the UPSC CAPF Written Exam 2024 will be summoned for the Physical Standards Test/Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Tests. Those candidates who meet the prescribed the Physical Standards will be put through the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Candidates who are declared qualified in the UPSC CAPF Medical Standards Tests 2024 will be called for the Interview / Personality Test. This Interview will be conducted by the CAPF. This will carry 150 marks.
