NIELIT has invited online applications for the NIC Recruitment 2023 from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up various scientific and technical posts for a total of 598 vacancies in the National Informatics Centre (NIC) from 4 March 2023.

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) has released the NIC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification on 3 March 2023 on its website for the recruitment of 598 scientific and technical posts in the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

Interested and eligible applicants for the NIC Recruitment 2023 for the recruitment to the posts of
Scientist – B (Group A), Scientific Officer/Engineer – SB (Group B) and Scientific/Technical Assistant – A (Group B) for 598 vacancies should fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply online for the NIC Recruitment Written Exam 2023.

Candidates who wish to apply online for the NIC Recruitment 2023 for the recruitment of Scientist – B (Group A), Scientific Officer/Engineer – SB (Group B) and Scientific/Technical Assistant – A (Group B) for 598 vacancies should have the following upper age limit as per the age qualifications as on 4 April 2023 (As mentioned in the NIC Recruitment Official Notification 2023).
The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the prescribed closing date for submission of online application, i.e. 4 April 2023.

The selection for the NIC Recruitment 2023 will be made through a single stage for Scientific/Technical Assistant – A post:
Written Examination
The final selection of eligible candidates for the appointment of Scientific/Technical Assistant – post vacancies will be based on the merit position (based on the reservation policy) arrived from the performance of the candidates in the written examination of the NIC Recruitment Written Examination 2023.
The NIC Recruitment Written Examination 2023 will be conducted in an ONLINE mode. This NIC Recruitment Written Examination would consist of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The total duration of this exam is three hours (3 hours). The medium of written examination shall be in English only.
The question paper will consist of 65 percent questions from technical areas and 35 percent questions from generic areas, as mentioned in the NIC Syllabus in the NIC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
The interview will be held for candidates who have applied for the posts of Scientist – B & Scientific Officer/Engineer – SB in the NIC Recruitment 2023.
Only the candidates who have qualified the NIC Recruitment Written Examination 2023 would be called for the NIC Recruitment Interview 2023.
The final selection of eligible candidates for the appointment of Scientist – B & Scientific Officer/Engineer – SB posts will be based on the combined performance of the candidates in both the NIC Recruitment Written Examination 2023 and the NIC Recruitment Interview 2023.
The weightage of marks for the NIC Recruitment Written Examination 2023 and the NIC Recruitment Interview 2023 will be in the ratio 85:15.

Candidates who are applying for more than one post in the NIC Recruitment 2023 should pay ₹ 800 (including taxes) for every individual post.
The NIC Recruitment 2023 Application Fee should be paid only through ONLINE mode. Any other mode like Cash, Demand Draft, Pay Order, Cheque or Challan will not be accepted as per the NIC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.

Ans: The pay scale of NIC Scientific/Technical Assistant - A is ₹ 35,400 to ₹ 1,12,400. This NIC Scientific/Technical Assistant – A is a Group B, Non-Gazetted and Level-6 post in the National Informatics Centre.
