Candidates for Forest Apprenticeships must hold a Bachelor of Science in Forestry or a degree equivalent from any university accredited by the UGC. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields, or the equivalent degree from an accredited university: Agricultural Science, Marine Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Zoology, Statistics, Wildlife Biology, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Chemistry, Botany, Engineering (Including Agricultural Engineering), and to be eligible for this position, you must meet a minimum requirement in general education, such as passing the S.S.L.C. Public Examination or its equivalent. You must also be admitted to post-secondary courses of study or university courses of study.
Educational Requirements: The majority of the positions have an educational minimum requiring passing the S.S.L.C. State exam or its equivalent from a Higher Secondary School. However, passing the Government Technical Examination for Typewriting is a requirement for hiring candidates for the positions of Typist and Steno-Typist.
Proficiency in Tamil: Applicants for the Group 4 positions should have sufficient proficiency in Tamil.
Physical Fitness: Upon passing the written exam, candidates are invited to a round of document verification. The visual and physical fitness certifications required for the positions listed in Group 4 Recruitment must be presented by the chosen candidates.
